HOW TO SUPPORT ARAFEST
“In 2015, Freedom Road Creative Arts were approached by Mike and Jo Aramayo who had become aware of the work the charity does and of the children and young people it supports. Mike and Jo spoke about their passion for supporting disadvantaged children and young people in and around Hull and with their family links to the performing arts it seemed apt to create a partnership. To date over £15,000 has been raised for FRCA and this funding has enabled the charity to further develop the service we deliver and open it up to more and more young people who are already feeling the benefits.
“My son has Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and with this he could at times struggled to deal with how to express himself and this had the potential of relationships in school and in the community breaking down. Since joining FRCA my son has developed a positive outlet to express himself; he acts, he sings, he plays the drums in a band and he has aspirations to further his interest in sound engineering. He has a future now and I cannot thank you enough”.
This partnership has become a regular form of funding which we can rely on and which enables us to plan to the future and through this partnership, we will be able to make a difference to more lives.”
